Varsha Bio-Science and Technology Winners Of FTCCI Excellence Award for Excellence in Research & Development

For Excellence in Research & Development in Micro and Small Enterprise, Varsha Bio-Science and Technology won the Federation Telangana Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FTCCI) Excellence Award in this category.

Dr. A John Peter, who is a former scientist of ICRISAT and NARDI and the promoter of the leading Agri-biotech manufacturing facility, won the awards from the hands of IT and Industry Minister K T Rama Rao in a function conducted in the city at FTCCI at Red Hills on Saturday evening.

Varsha Bioscience and Technology India Private Limited manufactures biopesticides and many green products. Dr. A John Peter looked after the funded research projects at the Department of Biotechnology (DBT), Natural Research Institute (DFID), United Kingdom and Monsanto Research Center, India.

With the major experience gained in Agri-Biotech, Dr. Peter Started the company in 2003 with a vision for providing environmentally safe and high-quality bio-products. The company with strong R&D introduced 32 products in the market. Research and Development aims at the development of the innovative new products.

Dr. A. John Peter, Chairman and Managing Director, The in-house R&D of Varsha Bioscience (a Government of India DSIR certified facility), said, “Our team of biotechnologists, microbiologists, entomologists and plant pathologists supports the production and quality.”

It focuses on resolving the present farming and environment challenges through innovation of researched products.

Varsha Biosciences works with premier universities and research institutions under public-private partnership programme.

In a recent event, tree oil-based and three microbial-based bio-pesticides were manufactured at Varsha Bioscience under the PPP model, focusing on the reduction of the footprint of conventional pesticides and fertilizers on the farming sector by appropriate integration of organic and safe biological formulations.
